But...?: The claim is false.

  • Both photos date back to 2021 and show visuals of Israel targeting the Gaza strip.

How do we know?: We carried out reverse image searches using Google Lens on both images.

Image 1: The search on the first image took us to an Al Jazeera report, dated 17 June 2021, which carried the same image.

  • It said that the photo showed explosions in the nights sky "above buildings in Gaza city," crediting it to news agency AFP.

The photo was shared in a 2021 story.

  • We looked for the photo on AFP's repository of images and found that it was uploaded there on 16 June 2021.

The image is from Gaza, not Sialkot.

Image 2: We were able to trace the second image back to a 2021 New York Times report about Israel's airstrikes on Gaza, dated 16 May 2021.

The image was a part of this 2021 report.

  • The photo was in this article and its caption said that it showed a building "aflame in Gaza city" after it was struck by Israeli forces.

The photo was shared as one of Gaza city.

Conclusion: An old set of photos from Gaza have gone viral with the false claim that they show India's attack on Sialkot.
