CLAIM:

That Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the singer of the stuti he had tweeted during Durja puja.

A message doing rounds on social media, attached with a link to the sound clip of the stuti, claims, "Please listen to kaathyayini sthothra. The singer here is prime minister Narendra Modi, look at the most authentic, authoritative, melodious, rendering of this life time sthothra by Modi”.

True Or False?

No, though available on PM Modi’s Soundcloud account, the stuti was not sung by him. It has been sung by ghazal singer and a AIR artist, Jitendra Singh.

The prime minister had tweeted out the stuti with a link on his account on the sixth day of the Navratri week.

According to a report by India Today last year, AIR had recorded a compilation of Nava Durga Stotra on PM Modi’s special request, in which Jitendra Singh had also recorded stotras.
