A video of a woman dancing is being shared on the internet with a claim that it shows Mumbai Indians (MI) player Vignesh Puthur's mother reacting to his performance in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match.
What have users said?: An X (formerly Twitter) user shared the video with a caption that said, "Hey @mipaltan, see Mumbai Indians Vignesh mother dances after seeing her son's performance. Ambani's have a great sense of identifying talents (sic)."
How did we find that out?: We did not find any news reports that talked about Puthur's mother dancing to celebrate his performance in the ongoing tournament.
Team WebQoof performed a keyword search and came across a report published in Kerala Kaumudi — a Malayalam newspaper.
The report talked about Puthur's spectacular performance against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), where he took three wickets.
It mentioned that Puthur's father, Sunil Kumar, works as an auto driver in Puthur, Perinthalmanna.
The report also carried a visual of the cricket's parents.
The report was published on 24 March.

Other sources: We found an interview of Puthur's parents posted on the official YouTube channel of Oneindia Malayalam.
It was shared on 24 March with a title that loosely translated to, "Vignesh Puthur's parents are filled with joy."
We noticed that the woman seen in the viral clip did not look like the cricketer's mother.
Comparing visuals: On comparing the visuals from the viral clip and the YouTube video, we found that the former did not show Puthur's mother dancing.
A comparison clearly highlights the differences.

Conclusion: While we could identify the woman in the viral clip, it is evident that the viral clip did not show cricketer Vignesh Puthur's mother dancing.
