But...?: The video is a scripted one and does not really show a person collecting precious metals from the Ganga.

How did we find out the truth?: We used keywords such as "गंगा नदी सोना चाँदी' (Ganga river gold silver) to look for more details related to the video on social media platforms.

• The search led us to the same video on Facebook, shared by a page named 'Social Junction' on 14 November 2024.

• The page clearly states that the content that it shares is made for "awareness and educational purposes."

The page makes and shared "scripted drama videos."
