A video showing an crowd inside the stadium singing the Indian national anthem is going viral to claim that this was recorded at Dubai during the recent 2025 ICC Champions Trophy match between India and Pakistan.
How did we find out the truth?:
We noticed a watermark of '@indiastalents' on the viral video.
Taking a cue, we performed a relevant keyword search on Google which led us to the same video on the Instagram handle of '@indiastalents'.
This was posted on 17 October 2023 and this confirm that the video is unrelated to the India vs Pakistan match in the ICC Champions Trophy which took place on 23 February this year.
We also noticed Pakistan and India's flags in the video, taking a cue, we performed a relevant keyword search and found several reports about the crowd singing the Indian national anthem.
Reports carried different versions of the same incident and stated that it was recorded at 2023 ODI World Cup match on 14 October 2023 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Conclusion: An old video showing crowd singing Indian national anthem at Ahmedabad is being falsely shared as a video from ICC Champions Trophy match between India and Pakistan.
