But the truth is: This video is a deepfake.

Richhariya shared the original video on her official Instagram account which differs from the altered version.

How did we find out the truth?: We checked Richhariya's Instagram account and found the original video shared on 19 January.

  • The original version does not show Richhariya kissing a policeman but just shows them posing for a picture.

  • The video also shows her hand shrinking to a very small size.

  • The viral video also carries logo of 'pixverse.ai' app top-right.

  • We then ran the video through ConTrails AI, an AI detection tool which concluded that this is an AI-generated deepfake video.
