A video showing a train overturning in river and then catching fire is going viral online. It also shows several people trying to escape the train.
Users sharing this video are claiming that it incident recently happened in Yamuna river, Delhi.
How did we find out the truth?: We performed a reverse image search on some of the keyframes of the viral video which did not bring up any credible news report.
We also noticed that the visual has a soft texture to it, which indicates that it could be generated using AI.
We then ran the video on AI-detection tools like Hive Moderation and Deepfake-O-Meter.
Both the tools detected AI manipulation in the video and concluded that it is not real.

Hive detected 87.6 percentage of manipulation and deepfake content.
Their report found the video to be an AI-generated one.

Moreover, we also did not find any credible reports about any train overturning in Delhi recently.
Conclusion: An AI-generated video is being shared as a real clip showing a train overturning into a river while people are trying to escape.
