Senior IAS officer GK Dwivedi, who was suspended earlier for renewing Zakir Naik’s NGO Islamic Research Foundation’s FCRA license, has been found innocent.
He has been reinstated by the government, nearly 50 days after his suspension.
Upset over his suspension, 15 Joint Secretaries in the Home Ministry had conveyed to Union Home Secretary Rajiv Mehrishi that action against Dwivedi was "demoralising" and "harsh on an honest officer".
