  • BJP President Amit Shah said that his party’s maiden victory in Assam and rise in vote share in other states is a testament to the success of Modi’s government.
  • Calling Congress policies “negative and obstructionist”, Shah stated that the success of BJP in the elections is a public approval of BJP’s pro-poor, pro-farmers and pro-village policies.
  • Shah applauded the voters’ movement towards a Congress-free India and congratulated Mamata Banerjee and Jayalalithaa on their win but refrained from wishing the Left in Kerala saying that they use violence against the BJP.
