The Jallikattu ban has pierced right through the hearts of Tamils. Much like their film heroes, people of the state have rolled up their sleeves and readied themselves to brave the worst of all villains to hold onto their culture.

Meanwhile, some memes are doing the rounds on Facebook with exaggerated depictions of Tamil conviction and wit. Below are a few of these memes with their respective translations.

Tamil Nadu government: In two to three days the government will ensure that we see positive results on Jallikattu.

TN Public: Looks like we have heard this somewhere.

TN Government (in its mind): Hehehe…this is what we said when Amma was in Hospital!

If they would have seen it they would have said that people of Tamil Nadu are making a baby bite the bull and harm it!
