Sex Video of BJP Assam MLA Goes Viral, Lawmaker in Denial

There has been no response on the controversy from the BJP so far.

The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Assam was caught in an uncomfortable and embarrassing situation after a sex video of one of their MLAs went viral on social media.

The BJP has not issued an official statement so far but the Morigaon MLA in question, Ramakanta Deuri, has claimed that he is not the man in the clip.

As per a report published in The New Indian Express, Deuri told the local news channels:

It is purely a conspiracy hatched against me by my political adversaries to malign my image as I am a contender for a berth in the ministry, which will be expanded soon.

He also demanded a forensic test of the video, adding that he will quit politics if proven guilty.
