AIADMK MP and Deputy Speaker of Lok Sabha M Thambidurai has also reached the Central Jail.
Senior AIADMK leader V Karuppasamy Pandian quit from a party post, protesting the appointment of TTV Dinakaran as Deputy General Secretary.
Pandian, the party's southern region strongman who had returned to AIADMK last year after a stint in DMK, announced his resignation as the party's Organisation Secretary, questioning if AIADMK was Sasikala's "family property".
Security has been beefed up outside Parappana Agrahara jail, where Sasikala will surrender. She is expected to arrive at 4:30 pm, approximately.

Kanchipuram SP and a team of 50 police officers have reached the Golden Bay Resort in Koovathur to probe an FIR filed by MLA S Saravanan.

She is accompanied by Ilavarasi and Sudhakaran. The two are also convicted in the DA case.

The court hall 48 where Sasikala is to surrender has been shifted to the central jail at Parapppana Agrahara due to security reasons.

VK Sasikala left her Poes Garden residence for Marina Beach, where she paid tribute at the memorial for the late Jayalalithaa. She offered a floral tribute and broke down while the supporters who had gathered around raised slogans.
In what will come as another setback, the Supreme Court rejected Sasikala’s appeal to afford her time to surrender before the Karnataka High Court.
In her appeal VK Sasikala’s lawyer KTS Tulsi told the court that she needed more time to manage her affairs before going to jail but the SC refused the request.
Reacting to the appeal the court said:
Sasikala is likely to surrender in Bengaluru on Wednesday, sources in her party, the AIADMK, have said.
The interim General Secretary is expected to leave her temporary residence at Poes Garden sometime around noon and will travel to Bengaluru by road where she is expected to appear before the Karnataka High Court later in the evening.
Hours ahead of her imminent departure to prison, Sasikala put her house in order and named a ‘Deputy General Secretary’ for the AIADMK. The man she chose was TTV Dinakaran, a former MP, and more importantly, her nephew.
Dinakaran’s elevation to proxy chief of the party in Sasikala’s absence came minutes after he was re-inducted into the party. He was among the members of Sasikala’s family who were expelled by late Chief Minister Jayalalithaa in 2011. While Sasikala came back into Amma’s fold in 2012, Jayalalithaa did not extend the invitation to the rest of the family.

While upholding the conviction of Sasikala, Ilavarasi and Sudhakaran in the high-profile Disproportionate Assets case on Tuesday, the Supreme Court ordered that the three accused have to surrender before the trial court ‘forthwith’, meaning immediately.
But how ‘immediately’ is that? How much time does Sasikala have, practically speaking?
Although the judgment is out, the usual practice is that certified copies of the judgment duly signed by the judges are handed out to the counsels by the court registry and also sent to the trial court, which usually takes a few hours if not more. In this case, a certified copy could have been faxed to the trial court in Bengaluru.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday derailed AIADMK General Secrtary VK Sasikala's political career even before take-off, by upholding her conviction for corruption along with two relatives and the late J Jayalalithaa. But the ugly war for power in Tamil Nadu continued.
The late Jayalalithaa, her close aide Sasikala Elavarasi, the widow of Sasikala's elder brother, and VN Sudhakaran, a nephew who at one point was also the former Chief Minister's foster-son, were convicted for amassing assets disproportionate to known sources of income to the tune of Rs 66.65 crore when the former chief minister ruled Tamil Nadu in 199-96.
