Former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi has reportedly said that JD(U) Vice President Prashant Kishor met RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav on five occasions and asked him to join forces again with state CM Nitish Kumar.

In an interview to CNN-News18, Rabri said that Kishor had approached Lalu as an ambassador of Kumar.

Rabri said she opposed Kishor's proposal and asked him to go away as RJD did not trust Kumar.

The issue came to light after Lalu, in his biography, Gopalganj to Raisina: My Political Journey, claimed that Kishor had come to him with Kumar's offer.

Kishor, however, had denied the claim and called Lalu ‘a liar’. While he admitted to have met Lalu after joining JD(U), he said that the RJD leader would be shamed if he reveals the purpose of their meeting.

On Saturday, 13 April, Kishor once again hit out at Lalu and Rabri. In a tweet, he said: “Those convicted or facing charges of abuse of public office and misappropriation of funds are claiming to be the custodians of truth.”

He also urged Lalu to come out in the media for an interaction with him, so that the details of their interaction is known to everyone.
