Listen to the 41st episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly radio show —Mann ki Baat.

Modi began his address by congratulating scientists on the occasion of National Science Day. "It depends on us what work we want a machine to do. Hence, human objectivity becomes important," Modi said.

He also urged "scientists to find ways in which we can enhance lives of our 'divyang' brothers and sisters through artificial intelligence”.

The PM also said the country was looking beyond the concept of women's development and talking in terms of development being led by women.

Women today are leaders in various spheres of life, the PM said, urging women in rural areas to become a part of an initiative for "clean energy and green jobs" through the 'Gobar dhan’ programme, under which livestock waste, including cow dung, would be used to generate clean energy in rural areas.

Congress President Rahul Gandhi, on 21 February, lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his silence on the multi-crore Punjab National Bank (PNB) fraud and Rafale fighter jet deal, saying the country wants to hear about these issues in his 'Mann Ki Baat'. "Modiji, last month you ignored my suggestions for your 'Mann Ki Baat' monologue. Why ask for ideas when in your heart you know every Indian wants to hear you speak about Nirav Modi's Rs 22,000 crore loot and scoot and the Rs 58,000 crore Rafale scam,” Gandhi said.
