The steep hike in onion prices has affected everyday sales and onion consumption. With no respite in sight, consumers rued government for not being able to check inflation.

In the video both sellers and buyers complain of the rising onion prices.

Unseasonal, sporadic rains across major onion producing states in India, has damaged the crop, leading to a price hike and delay in its supply.

In metros, onion prices range from Rs 65 to Rs 70 a kilogram. This is likely to rise further.
