All Waqf Properties Will be Geo-Tagged and Digitised: Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi
Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Wednesday announced that all Waqf properties will be geo-tagged and digitised.
“Schools, colleges, hospitals, community centers, common centers, hostels will be built on them and under Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram, 100 percent funding will be given for them,” he said.
“Muslim girls will be given free coaching for UPSC, state services and banking services. We have talked to a few institutes, the process of this coaching will begin this year after talking to all of them,” he added.

2 Dead After Truck Hits Bike in Rajasthan's Kota
Two brothers were killed on Thursday, 13 June, after a truck hit their motorcycle in Rajasthan's Kota city, police told PTI.
The incident took place near Geberiya Bawadi when the truck was taking a turn for Kota-Jhalawar highway, they said.
Ajay Bawari (18) died on the spot while his brother, Karan Bawari (25), succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at the Kota New Medical Hospital. They were residents of Balta Road, said Narendra Pareek, Station House Officer of Anantpura Police Station.
The driver of the truck fled from the spot after the incident but his vehicle has been seized, he said, adding that the bodies were handed over to the family after postmortem.
Hold Rajya Sabha Polls for 2 Seats in Gujarat Together: Congress
The Congress has demanded that elections to the two Rajya Sabha seats, which have fallen vacant in Gujarat due to the Lok Sabha polls win of BJP chief Amit Shah and Smriti Irani, should be held together.
Congress spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi, at a press conference, said they came to know that there could be a bid to hold the elections for the two seats separately.
"This would be a mockery of our constitutional ethos. It would be completely contrary to conventions. Whenever there are two seats of a state going vacant, you have elections together. It is obvious to everybody that the purpose of that is to ensure there is a fair exercise of franchise of each MLA," Singhvi said.
"If you have one election today and one after two weeks, four weeks, six weeks then you will enable the ruling party MLAs (lawmakers) to simply cross 51 per cent in the assembly of Gujarat and elect him in the first round and him in the second round which is held after weeks," he said.

Air India Express Kochi-Mumbai Flight Suffers Bird Hit
A Mumbai-bound Air India Express fight carrying 185 passengers on board was forced to return to the airport in Kochi on Thursday due to a bird hit, an airline official said.
All the passengers escaped unhurt in the incident which took place around 1.45 pm and an alternative plane has been put in service to fly the stranded passengers to their destination, he said.
"Air India Express flight IX-435, operating on Kochi- Mumbai route experienced bird hit during take off. It departed at 1.25 pm from Kochi for Mumbai and landed back at 2 pm," the official said.
All the 185 passengers on board are safe, he said.

Suicide Bomber Kills 9 in Eastern Afghanistan
At least nine people were killed and 12 others injured by a suicide bomber on Thursday in the eastern Afghan city of Jalalabad, an official told AFP.
The bomber, who was on foot, detonated a device near a local police checkpoint, according to a spokesman for the governor of Nangarhar province.
"Four security personnel and five civilians have been killed and 12 more, including three security personnel, wounded," said Attaullah Khogyani.
There was at least one child among the fatalities, while three others were among those wounded.
No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack, but the area around Jalalabad is home to fighters from both the Taliban and the Islamic State group's Afghan affiliate.

US Bishops Approve Changes to Church Law on Sex Abuse Reporting
The Catholic Church in the United States, which has been rocked in recent years by child sex abuse scandals and investigations, on Thursday approved a papal document that requires clergy to report suspicions of sexual assault.
At a meeting of the US Conference of Catholic Bishops in Baltimore, participants approved by a large majority the changes to the US catechism, which also reinforces systems in place for victims to signal alleged abuse.
The "motu proprio" - a legal document issued under Pope Francis's personal authority -declares that anyone who has knowledge of abuse, or suspects it, is "obliged to report (it) promptly" to the Church, using "easily accessible systems." The law only applies within the Church and has no force to oblige individuals to report abuse to civil authorities.
