“Glad About Irani’s Removal”, Oppn Parties React to Cabinet Rejig

Reactions from opposition political parties on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cabinet reshuffle started pouring in with political leaders both congratulating the new ministers and also simultaneously commenting on the decision of change of posts in certain ministries.
In a major reshuffle, Smriti Irani lost the Ministry of Human Resource Development to Prakash Javadekar. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu assigned Information and Broadcasting Ministry.
Smriti Irani’s removal from her post in the MHRD has mostly have invited positive reactions from opposition parties.
While Shashi Tharoor from Congress congratulated Prakash Javadekar on his post as the new HRD minister, Randeep S Surjewala who is also a Congress leader, criticized his appointment.

Irani has been the most unworthy of the post of HRD minister. Her removal shows that some good sense has prevailed in the cabinet. As far as Jaitley’s removal from the I&B ministry is concerned...I don’t see much reason behind it.
