The dissident Congress faction in Arunachal Pradesh led by former finance minister Kalikho Pul, on Monday, met Governor JP Rajkhowa and staked a claim to form the government in the state, 21 days after President’s Rule was imposed, according to The Indian Express.

While Pul, along with 18 other Congress legislators submitted a memorandum to Rajkhowa in Itanagar, staking claim to form the government, another group of five Congress MLAs led by former minister Chowna Mein also submitted a memorandum extending support to Pul.
