Elections are coming. For well over the next month, five states will go to the polls and many political fortunes will be made and unmade. The Quint brings you the low-down on the first phase of voting for Assam.

There are candidates with criminal cases, there are crorepatis and surprisingly even some people with no money in their bank account.

The first part of the two-phase election in Assam will take place on April 4.
