Majority of party office bearers, MLAs and MPs have attended the meeting,claimed D Jayakumar on talks of number of MLAs boycotting the AIADMK meeting on Monday, as per an ANI report.

Resolution Passed for Sasikala and Dhinakaran's Expulsion

The AIADMK passed a resolution to expel Sasikala and Dhinakaran permanently, as per a TOI report. Hari Prabhakaran, Joint Secretary, IT Wing, AIADMK tweeted:

AIADMK to Join NDA, Says BJP Leader

The AIADMK will soon join the NDA and be a part of the Modi government at the Centre, a senior BJP leader has said, as per a PTI report.

The BJP leader, who is a key party functionary involved with the southern state's affairs, said that it is only a matter of time before an announcement is made on this. Speaking on condition of anonymity, the leader told PTI:

The AIADMK will certainly join the NDA. It is only a matter of time. And when it joins the NDA, then it is natural that it will also join the government.

21 MLAs Back TTV Dhinakaran, Housed at Puducherry Resort

Twenty one MLAs from the AIADMK supporting TTV Dhinakaran have been housed at the Windflower resort in Puducherry. Speaking to ANI about the scheduled AIADMK meeting today, Thanga Tamilselvan said,

We believe the Governor will take a fair decision and convene the Assembly. We will seek the President’s intervention if that does not happen. We are 20-25 MLAs in the resort, and we have not been called for the meeting. Do we belong to the DMK?

TTV Dhinakaran Sacks TN CM EPS From Party Post

The ‘ousted’ Deputy General Secretary of the AIADMK TTV Dhinakaran sacked Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami from the post of Salem District Secretary on Sunday.

In other changes in the party, government whip S Rajendran was "relieved" as the district secretary of Ariyalur, reported PTI.

Villupuram (South)’s functionary and MLA R Kumaraguru has also been replaced. Sivaganga district secretary and Lok Sabha MP PR Senthilnathan was also removed, the PTI report added.

TTV said that these changes were made with the approval of AIADMK General Secretary VK Sasikala, who is currently serving her sentence in the disproportionate assets case.
