Peter Mukerjea, husband of Indrani Mukerjea and one of the prime accused in the Sheena Bora murder case, responded to Indrani’s claims on Thursday, terming them “high condemnable, contemptuous.”

He said that Indrani’s allegations were an attempt to interfere with the administration of justice.

Earlier in the week, Indrani had told a CBI court that her husband Peter Mukerjea might have caused her daughter’s disappearance.

CBI’s Response to Indrani’s Allegations

The CBI in its response to Indrani’s allegations said that the application filed by her was done so with a “mala-fide and dishonest intention to divert, twist the concentration of the approver, Shyamvar Rai...”

Though she did not expressly accuse Peter, a former media baron, of killing Sheena, Indrani said he and their former driver Shyamvar Rai could be behind her abduction, making her untraceable and destroying evidence.

"I have strong reasons to believe that Peter Mukerjea, with the assistance of other persons, including (accused-turned-approver) Shyamwar Rai, may have conspired and abducted my daughter Sheena in 2012 and made her untraceable and subsequently destroyed evidence," she said in an application, in which she sought the call data record (CDR) of Peter.

The CBI will submit the said CDR on 5 December.

Upon Indrani’s allegations, the CBI court directed the CBI and Peter Mukerjea to file their replies to the former’s appllication on Sheena Bora’s disappearance by Friday.
