A woman and her daughter jumped off a moving train attempting to escape molestation at the hands of a group of men on-board, on Sunday. The duo jumped off a Delhi-bound Howrah train near Kanpur, sustaining injuries in the process. They are being treated at a local hospital in the city.

The men allegedly attempted to molest the women from the time they boarded the train at Howrah. Quoting the Kanpur GRP In-Charge, ANI reported that the women got into an argument with the men, following which they jumped off the train, fearing molestation.

A case has been registered, and investigation is underway.
