Malayalam Actor Rajeev Joins Rescue Ops In His Hometown In Kerala
Richa Chadha’s co-star Rajeev Pillai postpones his wedding and joins rescue operations in Kerala.
Joining countless citizens in rescue efforts in flood-hit Kerala, Malayalam actor Rajeev Pillai is helping locals in his hometown, Nannoor and has also postponed his wedding. Richa Chadha, his co-star in Shakeela shared his story on Instagram. "My friend and costar in Shakeela, Rajeev Pillai, postponed his wedding, which was to happen three days ago, in order to help out in rescue efforts in his hometown of Nannoor , Kerala. They made rafts, carried boats by road to the low lying areas, made good use of all the muscle. Bravo!" she wrote.
Rajeev Pillai also took to Instagram to share the devastating images of the state which is facing the heaviest rains and consequent widespread floods and destruction since 1924.
"And that behind me is the main road, next to the house... mode of transportation has changed though," he wrote.
Rajeev Pillai is reportedly engaged to an engineering student Ajitha, and had planned an intimate wedding ceremony with some 10 guests.
Rajeev Pillai had earlier shared a photo from the sets of Shakeela with Richa Chadha on his Instagram.
Based on the life of Malayalam film star Shakeela, the film will see Richa Chadha in the lead role. The movie, directed by Indrajit Lankesh, will depict the life of the adult actor spanning from her young days to becoming a popular name in the late 1990s.
