Two cops suffered injuries after militants hurled a grenade at a police party in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama on Sunday, 26 December.

The attack occurred at Pulwama's Main Chowk near the Pulwama Post Office.

The injured policemen were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital while the area was cordoned off to nab the militants.

The latest attack comes days after terrorists killed a civilian and a policeman in Jammu and Kashmir in two separate incidents on December 22.

Terrorists had opened fire on Rouf Ahmad, a civilian, in Nawakadal locality of Srinagar. A police assistant sub-inspector (ASI), identified as Mohammad Ashraf, was also killed in the attack.

Last week, a cop, identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Wagay, was shot at by terrorists at Bandzawoo in Pulwama. He was shifted to a local hospital as he had suffered severe gunshot injuries.

The valley has witnessed several deadly attacks on civilians and security forces even as operations are underway to nab the terrorists.
