Aamir Khan-starrer Dangal has left the box office cash counters ringing within three days of its release. The film earned a massive Rs 106.95 crore in its opening weekend – the highest for any Bollywood film in 2016. The figure includes the film’s Tamil and Telugu versions.

This takes the film ahead of Salman Khan-starrer Sultan, which grossed Rs 105.52 crore in its first weekend. Sultan, however, released on a Wednesday on the occasion of Eid, and the earning was made on the first three days of its release.
