Sepoy Rachpal Singh, an Indian Army Jawan of 22-Sikh unit, was killed by a Pakistani sniper along the Line of Control, in Poonch, last week.

The soldier, who was guarding the Parvinder post, was heavily injured in the sniper fire – later succumbing to his injuries. He was cremated yesterday.

The news of the death, however, received scant coverage by the mainstream media, inciting anger and outrage amongst social media users.
