West Bengal Man Sexually Assaults Minor; Act Caught on Video
He continued with the act despite the girl’s mother attempting to stop him & only backed off when he saw the camera.
In a shocking incident, a video of a middle-aged man rubbing himself up against a minor girl in West Bengal has been making the rounds on social media. In the video, the man can be seen sexually assaulting the minor, even as the mother of the minor attempts to put herself between her daughter and the perpetrator. He appears to be unfazed until he realises that he is being filmed by a bystander, at which point he stops and non-nonchalantly inches away from the minor girl.
The Times of India reports that the incident occurred in Chinsurah, a city in West Bengal that lies along the Hooghly river.
Police Commissioner of Hooghly's Chandannagar Ajay Kumar told The Times of India that the police had seen the video and have since been attempting to identify and track down the man.
Twitter Won’t Stand For It
Twitter exploded in response to the video, condemning the man and decrying the state of safety of women and children in the state.
Many have questioned the Kolkata police and the West Bengal state government, requesting that they take immediate action against the culprit.
The incident comes weeks after a man was caught masturbating at two girls in public, inside a bus in Kolkata. The girls filmed the man, as a result of which the Kolkata police were able to track him down and and arrest him.
