Tamil Nadu has been witnessing a wave of protests over Jallikattu after the Supreme Court refused to lift the ban on the sport ahead of this year’s Pongal celebrations.

Around 200 people have been detained by the Tamil Nadu police for protesting against the ban on the traditional bull taming sport.

Tamil actor Vijay is the latest celebrity to weigh in on the debate. In a video posted on Twitter, he slammed PETA for opposing the traditional sport.
