TV News anchors yelling at guests and panelists is a common sight across the subcontinent. But two anchors of a show yelling at each other is on the channel itself is something we aren’t (un?)fortunate enough to see everyday.

Two anchors of Pakistan’s City 24 channel ended up embarassing themselves across social media when a 30-second video of them quarreling on air went viral.

"How am I supposed to do the news bulletin with her," the male anchor shouts at the crew, raising a finger at his female counterpart. "She's saying don't talk to me. If you have any personal issues, don’t discuss them with me," he says.

"I was talking about your tone," replies the female news anchor. "Speak to me with respect."

"How have I disrespected you?" asks the man.

"Jahil (ignorant)," the woman mutters — her barb clearly directed at her colleague.

"Tell her to watch her mouth," the man tells the producers angrily. "Is all of this being recorded?"

"There's no end to her tantrums," he says, still seething.

The video has taken social media by storm and has been shared extensively. This is not the first time that such behind-the-scenes videos have gone viral. According to NDTV, Lawrence O'Donnell, the host of MSNBC's show 'Last Word', apologised after footage of the anchor having a profanity-laced meltdown was leaked last year.
