Amid escalating tensions along the Line of Control (LoC) after the Fidayeen attack in Uri, there is strong intelligence input of a fresh Fidayeen attack between Awantipora and Pampore.

Inputs further reveal that three militants have been seen with rifles near Awantipora.

Earlier in September, terrorists carried out a Fidayeen attack on the Indian Army’s base in Uri, claiming 20 lives in the process. India reacted strongly to the deadliest attack on the Army in Jammu and Kashmir in a quarter-century-old insurgency by carrying out surgical strikes across the LoC.
