A two-day long seminar organised by Delhi University’s Ramjas College was cancelled on Tuesday after members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) protested against the participation of Jawaharlal Nehru University students Umar Khalid and Shehla Rashid Shora.

Khalid is one of the students who was at the helm of the “nationalism” controversy that had erupted out of JNU last year.

Many students, including Shehla and Umar, took to social media to condemn the attack.

Following the incident, a common student-teachers’ march will take place from Ramjas College to Maurice Nagar police station at 1 pm on Wednesday.
