Each year 1 November is celebrated as Karnataka Rajyotsava Day. In 1956, Kannada speaking regions of Mysore, Bombay and Madras presidencies merged to form Karnataka. Known to the world for its IT hub and the startup capital Bengaluru, Karnataka has an equally important cultural and historical past.
