SC Orders Attachment of Sahara’s Aamby Valley Properties

The Sahara group has also been asked to furnish a list of properties that can be put up for public auction.

1. The Supreme Court on Monday asked Sahara to furnish a list of properties that were free from litigation and mortgage so that they can be put up for public auction.
2. The Court ordered the attachment of Aamby Valley’s properties near Lonavala. The next hearing is scheduled for 20 February.
3. A payment of a little over Rs 600 crore was made on Monday. A total of Rs 11,000 crore has been made by the Sahara Group so far.
4. Sahara Group admitted before the Court that it had to pay a remainder amount of Rs 14,799 crore as principal money to Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). The Group has asked till July 2019 to deposit this amount.
