A shoe was thrown at Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal in Lambi, Muktsar district in the state on Wednesday.

The 89-year-old politician came under the attack while campaigning in his home district for the upcoming assembly elections.

The locals raised their voice against the party leaders, complaining that they never got the grants they were promised.

The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader attacked political rivals Congress and said that the party never fulfils its manifesto promises, as he sought another term.
