The Quint met up with Dr Shashi Tharoor at the Tata LitLive Festival in Mumbai and sneaked in a question about what the man himself thought of the demonetisation move played by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, by banning currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000.

Not without its merits, and with its good intentions intact, Dr Tharoor has three takeaways on how this could have been played out better so as to not grievously inconvenience the common man.
