A section of an under-construction flyover collapsed in Gurgaon’s Sohna Road area late on Saturday night, 22 August. While news agency ANI has reported that there were no injuries, Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala said two people were injured after which they were taken to a hospital.
“Slab of elevated corridor Sohna rd Gurugram collapsed. There have been 2 injuries and both have been admitted and under treatment. NHAI team, SDM and civil defence team are at the site (sic),” Chautala tweeted.
Speaking to The Indian Express, ACP (Sadar) Aman Yadav said that the incident happened around 10 pm. He further added that an investigation was underway to ascertain the cause.
Construction of the six Km long flyover started in 2018 and it was projected as the second most expensive project for the district.
