RRB Recruitment Process

Candidates for the Group D examination will be chosen on the basis of a computer based test, also known as the CBT. Upon qualifying the written test, the candidates will be put through a physical efficiency test (PET).

The CBT is reportedly a 90-minute test constituting 100 questions spread across various disciplines such as reasoning, mathematics, general science to name a few.

The pass percentage for general category students has been set to 40% while the OBC, SC, and ST category candidates must score a minimum of 30% marks to qualify.

In order to be inclusive and to avoid discrimination, the board conducts its examination in 15 languages, including Punjabi, Bengali, Gujarati, Tamil, Marathi, Oriya, English and Hindi.

The Group C and D examinations are expected to be conducted in September though the dates have yet not been formally announced.
