Rocky Yadav was arrested in May 2016 for allegedly shooting 20-year-old Aditya Sachdeva for overtaking his car. Rocky, alias Ranjan Yadav, is the son of Bihar lawmaker Manorama Devi.

The incident occurred when Aditya overtook Yadav’s Range Rover in Gaya town.

His Education

Rocky did his schooling from DPS Ranchi, after which he did his matriculation from Varanasi, before graduating from Delhi University. His mother claimed that he was staying in Delhi to prepare for the Civil Services while friends say he stayed in Delhi and looked after his father’s business.

His Religious Side

From the traditional Bihari ‘Chhat Puja’, to doing Jagrata in Navratras, Rocky’s Facebook page is full of posts and photos of these festivals and rituals.

Fondness for Guns

His timeline has a few photos of guns. 

"We have arrested Rocky Yadav from the factory. The murder weapon a Beretta pistol has also been recovered and Rocky has admitted to the crime," Gaya SSP, Garima Malik was quoted as saying after Rocky was arrested.

Rocky was also fond of travelling to different tourist spots, the photos of which he uploaded on Facebook.

Political Ambitions

Rocky, like his parents, was interested in a career in politics. His father allegedly had links with the Maoists for which there was also a case against him. He later joined the RJD, from which he also fought the elections in 2005 and 2010. He has assets to the tune of 15 petrol pumps, cement factories, shopping malls, real estate and other factories to his name. Rocky wanted to take control of all this and hence, wanted step into politics. He was also quite vocal about his political aspirations on Facebook.
