Reliance Jio Launches Monsoon Hungama Offer: JioPhone at Rs 501

The Jio Monsoon Hungama offer asks customers to exchange old feature phones for a new JioPhone at just Rs 501.

Reliance Jio, on 20 July, announced its monsoon offers – titled the Jio Monsoon Hungama – which is a combined offering of a JioPhone at Rs 501 and a 6-month unlimited voice and data at just Rs 594.

Under the offer, customers will be able to exchange old feature phones of any brand for a new JioPhone (existing model) at an effective entry cost of Rs 501 – provided the old phone is not more than 3.5 years old and is not a CDMA or operator locked device.

Reliance has vowed that the amount of Rs 501 will be refunded at the end of three years.

With their new JioPhone, customers will get a free Jio SIM. Under its special recharge plan, users will get unlimited data and calling for 6 months at Rs 594.

A special exchange bonus of 6 GB data voucher worth Rs 101 is also on offer, besides cashback offers on select prepaid plans. 

In order to avail the cashback, customers need to recharge with more than Rs 398 and the cashback will come in the form of cashback vouchers.
