UP Teen Carries Foetus to Police Station to Lodge Rape Complaint

A 19-year-old girl walked to the Hasanpur Kotwali police station in Uttar Pradesh’s Amroha carrying her five-month-old foetus in a bag on Saturday, 21 July, to register a complaint against her rapist, ANI reported.

The teenager told ANI that a young man in her neighbourhood had raped her at gunpoint give months ago. She alleged that she was forced to consume pills to abort her pregnancy. “We have registered a case on complaint of girl’s family and raids were being conducted to arrest the accused,” Ajay Kumar, circle officer of Hasanpur, told Hindustan Times.

As per the daily, the accused gave her abortion pills on 13 July.
