According to a Mail Today report, Alamnagar, Rajajipuram resident Aman Gupta would order high-value products from the e-commerce site Snapdeal and wait for it to get delivered. He would give an acknowledgement slip to the delivery boy and accept the item after paying the required amount.
Within a few hours, Gupta would raise a complaint, claiming he did not get the right item and would seek refund. In return, he would pack up something else and hand it over to the courier boy the next day.

A 63-year-old man allegedly stabbed his wife to death at his residence in west Delhi’s Subhash Nagar area. After the murder,he called up the police and surrendered himself.
According to the police, the accused, identified as Rajendra, is suspected to be mentally unstable and was taken for a medical examination. His wife Sushma, was a central government employee.
The couple had a heated argument regarding some financial matter on Thursday morning, following which Rajendra allegedly stabbed Sushma to death and then called up the police. Rajendra was arrested and a case has been registered, the police said.

Five persons were arrested in connection with the murder of a journalist in Sultanpur district of Uttar Pradesh.
Acting on a tip-off, Gosaiganj police arrested Sandeep Singh, Ajay Singh, Haider Abbas alias Gabbar, Rahul Singh and Pawan Singh, said a PTI report.
According to the police, a 9 mm pistol and two country-made firearms and cartridges were recovered from their possession.
Tarun Mishra (32) was shot at by three unidentified persons in Gosaiganj on 13 February. He later died at the district hospital.
An 18-year-old married girl was allegedly raped by three persons after one of them took nude pictures of her and threatened to post the photos on social networking sites.
According to the police, one of the accused had taken a photograph of the girl on his cellphone while she was taking a bath.
He went to her house around midnight of 15 February, gagged her in front of her husband and carried her to a secluded place, where he and his two friends allegedly raped her.
All the three accused have been arrested.

An employee of a nationalised bank was arrested in a fraud case for allegedly fleeing with cash amounting to over Rs 24 lakh, said a PTI report.
Based on the complaint of the State Bank of India, Baguihati branch, the employee was arrested from Burdwan along with a woman.
Total amount of around Rs 24.14 lakh was seized from their possession, a senior officer said.
Inspector Gopinatha Pandian, who was arrested on the charges of intimidating and waylaying a businessman near Kodai Road toll gate, was placed under suspension on Thursday.
According to The Hindu, the suspension order was issued to him in the jail. The police were also in search of two other accused in this connection.
Ammayanaickanur police had arrested Gopinatha Pandian and produced him before Judicial Magistrate III M. Seyadhu Sulaiman Ussain at his residence.
Earlier, businessman Siva Perumal of Thathaneri in Madurai, filed a police complaint stating that the inspector had intercepted his car demanding all documents and bills for the goods he was carrying in his car on January 27. The inspector threatened to register a case against him. Later, he collected cash Rs. 1 lakh from Siva Perumal and allowed him to go.
Jeetu Mahato, 26, was arrested by Lakadganj police, on Thursday, for allegedly stabbing his elder brother Ganesh, alias Golu, to death. The culprit was trying to sneak out of the city after stabbing Golu but was nabbed by alert cops from the locality.
According to a Times of India report, Golu, third among six brothers, was asked by the rest of the family members to either abstain from consuming liquor or stay away from home. Jeetu was the most vociferous against Golu’s discordant lifestyle that was creating a nuisance for the family.
Golu had tried to barge into the house on Wednesday in an inebriated condition. The fight between him and Jeetu started after a heated argument. An enraged Jeetu stabbed Golu during the fight. Golu was rushed to Mayo hospital, where he succumbed in the early hours of Thursday.
An elderly farmer couple was found murdered in their house in Pagalpatty Cholikadu in Salem district.
According to PTI, 80-year-old Jagathamba Gounder and his 75-year-old wife, owning 25 acre of agricultural land and undertaking farming, were found dead by the farm workers on Thursday morning.
Salem range DIG Vidya Kulkarni Salem SP Subbulakshnmi visited the spot.
Special teams had been formed to nab the assailants, police said.
