1. Accused Is Arrested as 25-Year-Old Murder Case Solved
A breakthrough has finally been made in a murder case that is more than two decades old. The crime was committed in 1990 and cops have finally caught the accused, a former sarpanch of a village in Varanasi. The accused, Anil Ramsagar Choube resides in Ourav village and worked as the bodyguard of the deceased, Balaram Mhatre, in Thane. Choube is alleged to have shot Mhatre while he was asleep.

2. Goan Constable Arrested for Murder, Kills Self in Police Lock-Up
Not able to bear the misery of being locked up for murder charges, a Goan police constable hung himself to death. The constable, Devidas Sinari, was found hanging on the roof of his lock-up cell at Bicholim police station. Devidas was arrested for murdering a local vendor whose mutilated body was recovered in a river nearby.

3. Corporator of Shiv Sena Murdered in Public
Multiple men shot dead a Shiv Sena corporator in public. The incident occurred near the MSEB office in Morivali, a Mumbai suburb. Pappu Munjal, the victim, was gunned down in broad daylight. The police has said that more than 13 persons came running towards him with a sword and sharp weapons.

4. Youth Rapes Teenage Dalit Girl in UP
A teenage Dalit girl, 15, was allegedly raped by an 18-year-old youth in Uttar Pradesh. A case of rape has been registered against the accused, Vipin, as per the police officer involved with the case. The girl’s parents have accused Vipin of luring their daughter to his house, where she was raped.

A navy sailor’s wife has been charged with a case of domestic torture of a minor maid. The police has stated that the minor, Geeta, was badly beaten by her employer, Anjali, for not completing her work in the house. She was later admitted to a hospital for treatment.

6. Youth Given 10 Years Jail Time for Assaulting Minor Girl
A youth in his mid-20s has been imprisoned for 10 years and has been asked to pay a Rs 5,000 fine for sexually assaulting a 6-year-old girl. The accused, Udhav, committed the crime at a wedding he attended.

7. Insurgents from Nagaland Arrested in Bengaluru by NIA
There has been another round of arrests in connection with an insurgent shooting that took place in Kohima, Nagaland earlier this year. According to a Times of India report, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) along with the Central Crime Branch have taken a 27-year-old resident of Nagaland into custody. The shooting incident killed one person and injured three others.
