Pragya Thakur at It Again: ‘Oppn Using Marak Shakti to Harm BJP’

The BJP MP alleged that ‘evil power’ is behind the recent deaths of Arun Jaitley and Sushma Swaraj.

Pragya Singh Thakur, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from Bhopal, has made yet another controversial statement. This time around, she has alleged that the Opposition is using “marak shakti” to harm the BJP, and that “evil power” is actually behind the recent deaths of former Union ministers Arun Jaitley and Sushma Swaraj.

Once a maharaj ji told me that bad times are upon us, and the Opposition is up to something, using some marak shakti against the BJP. I later forgot what he said, but now when I see our top leaders leaving us one by one, I am forced to think, wasn’t maharaj ji right?”

Thakur was addressing a condolence meeting at the state BJP office to pay her tribute to Jaitley and former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Babulal Gaur.

Gaur died on 21 August. And former finance minister Jaitley passed away at AIIMS in Delhi on Saturday, 24 August.

Senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj passed away on 6 August, at the age of 67. Swaraj was taken to AIIMS in a critical condition, after she suffered cardiac arrest.
