The Shiv Sena, which notoriously witchunts couples on Valentine’s Day, took to Kochi’s Marine Drive on Women’s Day and beat up couples. The police became bystanders as the party workers thrashed people with sticks.

Every time such an incident occurs, the Sena is given airtime to explain its actions. But is giving it that screenspace really necessary?
