India's Contribution to World & National Peace

PM Modi invokes the belief of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ and spoke of India’s contribution to world peace.

The UN declaration of Human Rights is testimony to India’s push for gender equality.

He uses the example of Sister Nivedita to prove his point.

Our holy land has given great souls who selflessly served humanity; Sister Nivedita was one such extraordinary person. Her original name was Margaret Noble. True to her name, she served India with nobility... She was a pioneer in girls’ education in India and in providing health services to the poor. She was a westerner who embraced India wholeheartedly, and lived and died with the well-being of India and Indians on her mind and in her heart.

Yoga for Young India

Yoga for Young India will be helpful, especially for our young friends, in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Diseases like diabetes are now also affecting the young. Society and families need to pay attention towards this crisis. I would like to request families to inculcate in children the habit of playing in open grounds.
Do not look at Ayurveda and Yoga as a means of medical treatment only. Instead, we should make them a part of our life.
