At a time when Samajwadi Party is fighting a messy political battle in Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chose to address a ‘Parivartan Rally’ there on Monday.

Modi not only attacked the Opposition for their critique of demonetisation, he also took a dig at the ruling Samajwadi Party government. He said that while other parties, including the BSP, are finding ways to hide their laundered wealth, BJP is making attempts to develop the state.

Incessant Attacks Aimed at UP Government

“The UP state government hasn’t worked for the welfare of farmers inspite of getting full support from the Centre,” Modi said at the rally.

Assuring the voters that the BJP government is focused on developing UP, he said that ever since the BJP came to power in the Centre, it has ensured that every year Uttar Pradesh got an additional 1 lakh crore to spend for development and better facilities and infrastructure.

Modi Takes a Dig at SP, BSP

The Prime Minister did not leave any opportunity to attack both the Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party.

“Have you ever seen BSP and SP together? When BSP says sun is rising, SP will say sun is setting. But both agree on ‘Modi hatao’,” he asserted.

“They say remove Modi, I say remove black money, they say remove Modi, I say remove corruption. Now the public can decide what they support.”

We Need to Change UP’s Destiny: Modi

Taking a dig at the Samajwadi Party and the BSP, he urged the voters to bring back vikas to Uttar Pradesh.

He also urged the people of the state to help the BJP bring back development to the state. He said the country cannot grow with UP left behind.

“UP has suffered from a vikaas ka vanvaas for 14 years... Uttar Pradesh needs to bring back BJP to end this vanvaas...To change the destiny of India, we need to first change the destiny of Uttar Pradesh,” he said.

PM Modi Addresses Parivartan Rally

To loud applause, PM Modi thanked the gathered crowd in Lucknow for its love. Addressing a crowd of over 10 lakh people in Lucknow, PM Modi started his address by saying that seeing such a large crowd gathered would give leaders like Atal Bihari Vajpayee great joy.

He further added that the land of UP has given birth to many great leaders such as Atal Ji, and the nation will be forever thankful to UP for it.

BJP Will Bring Back Development to UP: Rajnath

Addressing the gathered crowd in Lucknow, Rajnath Singh took on the ruling Samajwadi Party and blamed it for bringing ruin to India’s most populous state.

He urged the gathered crowd to vote the ruling party out in the upcoming assembly elections and bring the BJP to power with majority and help it bring back development to the state.

Amit Shah Urges UP to Throw Out Samajwadi Party

BJP President Amit Shah addressed the crowd gathered at the Ramabai Ambedkar ground in Lucknow. In his speech aimed at the youth of Uttar Pradesh, the senior leader said that the state has great potential but its youth has suffered because of the corruption of Samajwadi Party and the BSP.

Taking a dig at the infighting within the Samajwadi Party, Shah said that the public spat between the leaders is orchestrated and is nothing but a smokescreen to deflect from the mis-governance of the party.

Crowd Gathers for PM’s Parivartan Rally

‘Parivartan Rally’ Crucial for BJP’s Fate in UP

The rally is crucial because it comes at a time when the ruling Samajwadi Party is in a major crisis and a successful address by PM Modi could see the BJP making a strong push for the upcoming Assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh.

Moreover, it is the first rally after the 50-day demonetisation deadline of 30 December. He is expected to make new announcements, in addition to talking about his hyped New Year’s Eve speech.
