Both houses of Parliament have been adjourned sine die, bringing an end to the Budget Session 2019 on Wednesday, 13 February.
Prime Minister Modi addressed the Lok Sabha for the last time ahead of the 2019 elections on the last day of the Budget Session 2019.
Earlier in the day, the Rajya Sabha had been adjourned sine die, meaning that The Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019 and The Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Bill, 2018, two Bills which have cleared Lok Sabha, will lapse on 3 June, when the term of the present Lok Sabha ends.
On Friday, 8 February, a fresh ruckus had broken out over the Rafale deal after The Hindu’s report by senior journalist N Ram. Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman responded in the Lok Sabha on Friday, to Congress’ fresh attack over the deal, by stating that all questions have been answered “thoroughly and transparently.”

Jan Dhan Yojana Benefited 34 Crore People: Kovind
“Because of the government’s Jan Dhan Yojana, bank accounts of over 34 crore people have been opened in the country and almost every family has been linked to the banking system,” President Kovind said in Parliament on Thursday.
He added that the scheme had helped add Rs 88,000 crore to the formal economy.
“According to an international agency, 55 percent of the total bank accounts opened between 2014-2017 were opened in India itself,” Kovind said.

BJD leader B Mahtab on Tuesday wondered whether reciting prayers in Sanskrit is not secular as he sought to raise in the Lok Sabha the issue of a petition in the Supreme Court against Kendriya Vidyalaya students being asked to recite prayers in Sanskrit.

Will The Key Bills Pass?
The Opposition is likely to stage protest the Parliament over issues, like farmer crisis, unemployment alleged misuse of the constitutional bodies. This will lead to reduction of chances for the key bills to pass in the remaining time. Citizenship and Triple Talaq Bills to Lapse if Not Passed by Rajya Sabha Today
The Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019 and The Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Bill, 2018, two Bills which have cleared Lok Sabha, will lapse if Rajya Sabha does not pass them Wednesday, 13 February, which is the last day of the Budget session, reported The Indian Express.
Both the Bills were introduced and passed by the Lok Sabha, after which they were transmitted to Rajya Sabha. Once a new Lok Sabha is elected, both Bills will have to clear Lok Sabha again.
The provision regarding lapse of a Bill in the Rajya Sabha Legislative Procedure states: “A Bill pending in Rajya Sabha which has not been passed by Lok Sabha does not lapse on the dissolution of Lok Sabha but a Bill which is passed by Lok Sabha and is pending in Rajya Sabha lapses on the dissolution of Lok Sabha.”

On the last day of the Budget Session 2019, the Lok Sabha has been adjourned till noon, after noisy protests, reported PTI.
The proceedings of LS were adjourned for nearly 50 minutes during Question Hour amid slogan shouting by SP and TMC members over different issues. After the Speaker started the Question Hour, SP and TMC members jumped in the well and started sloganeering. The Question Hour lasted barely for five minutes, reported PTI.
Rajya Sabha Also Adjourned till Noon
Rajya Sabha proceedings on Wednesday were adjourned till noon after opposition Samajwadi Party and TMC created ruckus in the House over different issues. Trouble broke out soon after listed papers were presented to the House with members of both parties rushing towards the well of the House.
SP members alleged that the Uttar Pradesh Police lathicharged party MPs and workers protesting against party chief Akhilesh Yadav being stopped at Lucknow airport in a bid to prevent him from attending an event in Allahabad.
As the ruckus continued, Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu adjourned the proceedings till noon. Proceedings of the House were washed out on Tuesday as well because of the issue as SP members vociferously protested, reported PTI.

Over 4.12 Lakh Vacant Posts in Central Govt Departments
Over 4.12 lakh posts were lying vacant in various central government organisations in 2016, the Centre said in a written reply to Lok Sabha on Wednesday, 13 February.
Out of the total of 4,12,752 vacancies, 15,284 were Group 'A' posts, 76,050 in Group 'B' and 3,21,418 in Group 'C' categories, it said.

Accusations Over Chit Fund Scam in Lok Sabha
Chit fund scams in West Bengal echoed in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday, with Left and Congress members accusing the Trinamool Congress of looting money of investors.

PM Modi is addressing the Lok Sabha for the last time in ahead of the 2019 elections.
“A complete majority government was formed after three decades and a government without the Congress gotra was formed for the first time after independence. Atal Bihari's government was the first alliance government that did not involve the Congress in any way as well and then a majority government like that was formed in 2014,” PM Modi said.
Addressing the House, he said, “The country’s self-confidence is at an all time high. I think this is a very good sign because such confidence gives boost to development.”
Speaking about the House, Modi said, “We will be proud of this 16th Lok Sabha, as it saw the highest number of women members elected to the House. 44 first time women MPs were time elected to the Lok Sabha.”
