Pak National with Aadhaar Card Arrested from Jaisalmer Air Base

The air force officials are yet to hand over the arrested man to the police.

A Pakistani national was apprehended after he attempted to enter the Jaisalmer air force station in the early hours of Wednesday. The man was arrested by the air force station officials, who also recovered an Aadhaar card from him.

Upon investigation, the man identified himself as Purkha Ram, and said he had come into India 18 years ago and was working as a farm worker in Vijaynagar, situated in Rajasthan’s Ganganagar district.

A Hindustan Times report cited the Superintendent of Police in Jaisalmer confirming the man’s arrest by the security officials at the air force station.The SP however added that the air force had yet to hand over the man to the police.

Meanwhile, an investigation is underway to retrieve more information from the Pakistani national.
