An Army jawan was killed and three others were injured when Pakistan troops resorted to mortar shelling and small arms firing along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district on Monday, 10 June, news agency PTI reported, quoting officials.

The jawan, a personnel of 4 Grenadiers, was critically injured in the firing and later succumbed to injuries, according to ANI.

The three injured have been hospitalised, officials told PTI, adding that troops guarding the border retaliated effectively.

The Pakistan army violated the ceasefire and targeted forward posts in the Doda battalion area, they said.
