Pakistan violated ceasefire in Jammu and Kashmir’s Akhnoor sector on Saturday morning, the state police said.

Heavy mortar shelling was heard from across border since 4 am, police said.

This is the fourth violation in the past 48 hours; the third one was reported around 10 am on Friday. In September alone, six violations were recorded, along with the Uri attack, which has claimed 20 soldiers’ lives so far.
